How Jacob Donald Leveraged Simplicity and Focus to Add $40K+ in Organic SaaS Sales

Every now and then, a GSD student comes in and reminds us exactly why we do what we do. Jacob Donaldson is one of those people. In our recent spotlight interview with him, we dug into his journey from ATM business owner to SaaS closer, and the recurring themes were clear: simplicity, consistency, and ruthless focus.

If you’re feeling stuck or scattered, Jacob’s story is proof that you don’t need a fancy funnel or a massive ad budget to win. You need a game plan, some grit, and a commitment to execution.

From ATMs to AI: Jacob’s Shift into SaaS

Jacob came into the GSD world already successful. He owns an ATM business with over 70 machines and had run an agency for nearly 8 years. But like many entrepreneurs, COVID shifted his focus. Now he’s selling SaaS and high-ticket offers to the payment processing and ATM industry he knows so well.

How did he discover GSD? A Black Friday special. He bought the $7 offer, binged the content, and within two days, upgraded to the lifetime deal. Why? Because it just made sense.

Perfect Stranger Method = Perfect Fit

Jacob quickly saw results with one of our core strategies: the Perfect Stranger Method. Using our training, he created targeted content for segmented Facebook lists and combined it with smart outbound and automation. He gets 3-5 DMs a day from cold leads turned warm by his content.

“Even if I only do a third of what’s on the daily sheet, it works,” Jacob said. And he means it. He has it printed and posted on both monitors as a reminder.

$40K+ Collected. Zero Ad Spend.

Since joining GSD, Jacob has added 12 new clients, most paying in full. He’s brought in at least $40K in revenue organically, and that includes a $20K deal and several others in the $1K-$3K range. He’s not even fully executing everything yet. Let that sink in.

His niche? The same one he came from: payment processors and ATM pros. He offers lead gen, bundled with SaaS and coaching, and he’s solving real fulfillment problems these businesses face—like automating onboarding and reducing leads lost to follow-up delays.

The Secret: Focus, Simplicity, and Consistency

Jacob is the first to admit he used to chase shiny objects. He spent over $150K on other coaches and programs, and while he learned from them, GSD stood out because we made things simple.

He committed to one word this year: Focus. He stopped overcomplicating. He printed out the checklist, shows up to the Diamond Club calls, asks questions, and takes action.

As Cody said in the interview: “Most people fail because they try it once, don’t get rich, and quit. But it’s the guy who does the same punch 1,000 times that becomes dangerous.”

Advice to Newbies: “Just Add Water”

Jacob compared the GSD system to a boxed cake mix: you don’t have to go milk the cow or grind the flour—you just add water. Everything is already there if you’re willing to follow the instructions and do the work.

And when asked what he’d say to someone on the fence? He kept it real:

“It’s $7. That’s a Wendy’s meal. Try it. Go all in. Ask questions. Be selfish on the coaching calls. The confidence and clarity I’ve gotten here helped me close the biggest deals I’ve ever done.”

Is It Your Time to GSD?

Jacob’s not done. He’s expanding into AI, automating more of his processes, and creating new offers. But none of that happened until he focused, simplified, and followed through.
