19 years old, a full time college student, AND the owner of a successful marketing agency… At such a young age, G$D student, Luke Hyde has built up an incredible resume. But like many agency owners, laying down the foundations for success was a struggle.
A genius in digital marketing, Luke was already working with people within his network to help them market their products and services at just 18. The scope of people he worked with was broad, some in law, some in politics, and others in real estate. This brought in anywhere from $2k-$4k a month. An incredible feat for any college student, but it was not close to where Luke knew he could take his business with the right guidance.
Luke had the skills and the knowledge he needed in order to run his business, but struggled with creating an offer that sold. This brought Luke to the G$D program. Luke needed help crafting offers that sold and then getting it out there with new clients. After seeing our free content, Luke decided to jump into our program and work towards building a scalable business.
Now a few months into his journey with us, Luke and Rahul take a look back at how he took his business from just $2k-$4k per month to driving over $120k in closed deals within the last quarter of 2020.
Bringing on new clients can be tough for even the most experienced digital marketers, and it was one of Luke’s early struggles as well. Luke tried many different routes to bring new clients on board; from cold calling and cold emailing, to reaching out to people one Facebook and LinkedIn. And while he saw some success from these efforts, they just weren’t helping to move the needle very much when it came to increasing sales.
In addition to struggling with his organic outreach, Luke tried different techniques to attract his potential clients to sign on with him. This included offering free trials as a way to build rapport with clients and let them test out his services, but found that they would eventually back out. This meant he was working hard to satisfy his clients but did not see any money coming in.
Spending time on reaching out to people who did not bite and offering free work to those who did was not working. It was not moving Luke’s business in the right direction and could have left him stuck in a cycle of working with less than ideal clients.
In order to move away from offers that weren’t working, Luke sought out guidance and in the process found the G$D program. He came into the group full of energy and ready to learn. Luke put in a ton of dedicated work to implement the sales strategies and offer creation techniques we teach in our program.
Not too long after joining, Luke noticed that the responsiveness to his organic outreach was better that ever. He was attracting clients who were ready to invest in his services. Not only this, but Luke became more confident in setting prices during his calls with clients. He was no longer offering free trials. Instead he started offering his services for $500 and then as he felt more confident in his ability to sell, he set his prices higher. And people were buying!
Joining the G$D program helped Luke see where he could improve. He took action based on everything he was learning and his business began to reach new heights.
In fact by implementing these changes to his agency, Luke was able to close $120k worth of contracts leading into the 4th quarter of 2020!
At the time of the interview above, only about 90 days after joining our group, Luke was on his way to earning $40k every month until the end of the year. All in the midst of a global pandemic!
Within more deals left to be made in his pipeline, Luke has so much more ahead of him. His business continues to grow and he’s gearing up to become a 6 figure a month earner very soon.
We cannot wait to see what more the future holds for Luke.
